Tai Global Elective Nursing program allows its participants not to just gain work experience, but also provide vital support to a busy profession in a developing country. You will see how resourceful nurses have to be working in hospitals that suffer from lack of funding and poor equipment. You will normally rotate through various departments in the hospitals. You could spend time in surgery, maternity, general medicine, paediatrics, palliative care, and work with HIV patients. If you prefer to specialize in one area, let us know beforehand and we will make the necessary arrangements for this.

TAG offers you an opportunity for a Split nursing placement: This is an internship where you rotate through different parts of a hospital abroad i.e. between different departments, hospitals, locations or countries. You might spend two weeks as an ER nurse, and then shift to paediatrics, spend a minimum of 2 weeks in a rural hospital and 2 weeks in an urban setting, or 2 weeks in a hospital in Kenya and 2 weeks in a hospital in Tanzania. With these programs you can get a greater knowledge of the health care system in a particular country or countries as a whole.
